Founder of "Curious Cat Estate Sales" and "Smooth Transitions Boston North Shore,” she began her career in service to those in transition when she was left with the task of coordinating the moves for two of her aunts nearly 20 years ago. Without the help of professional move managers of today, she personally handled the downsizing, the cleanouts, the estate liquidations of belongings and real estate, along with the relocation of her aunts. Ruthanne realized that those faced with stressful transitions, such as during retirements, following a death of a spouse, or during marital breakups, could benefit from the guidance of a personal consultant experienced in such transitions. She has applied her training from the Museum of Fine Arts in design and merchandizing in organizing and managing her estate sales and dealing with charitable organizations. With experience and a caring personality, Ruthanne provides each client a uniquely personal and professional transitional experience
Robert served in the USAir Force and is a graduate Engineer from Cornell University. He has worked in both engineering and education for many years. He also speaks French. Along the way, he has recycled several homes and designed and built his own waterfront property in Maine. Like Ruthanne, Robert had the good fortune of moving many friends and family before joining Curious Cat Estate Sales and Smooth Transitions Boston. He is a problem solver and caretaker during all phases of transition. As they say, "He is a jack of all trades." But Robert masters many.
Rose is our Angel! She has played a major role in Curious Cat Estate Sales for some time now and has recently joined the Smooth Transition part of our group. Rose is bilingual in Spanish and invaluable with our Spanish speaking friends. She speaks Portuguese too! She has a wealth of knowledge about antique prices and can appraise many of the items we see. Most important is her conscientious and caring personality. Rose can bring a smile to your face on your worst day. Finally, she also has her auctioneers' license and thus provides us with an in-house auctioneering option for our clients.
Mike is a Main Man and a real hustler in our Staging Crew. He uses his artistic background and experience (photography, graphic arts, interior and fashion design and display) to help place furniture for photos and day-of-sale presentation. He pays attention to detail, Mike is on top of things at all times. Mike recently gutted, and totally redesigned his fabulous condo, doing most of the work himself.
Sheri is our communications specialist. Her interesting background includes extensive journalism experience and media relations training. She is former military and has moved eleven times! She helps by reviewing or crafting communications content to clearly focus on our philosophy and brand messages. Her work supports building relationships and providing an accurate picture of our image as a company who cares about its clients and gets the job done for them.
Curious Cat Estate Sale Company is fortunate to have excellent working relationships with many North Shore auction houses and Cleanout companies and have used several in the past. It should be noted that CCES does not perform Cleanouts. Decisions on which company to use usually depends on the items being auctioned or removed. In the end, our mission is always to find a good home for each item while trying to maximize the return for our client.
Arthur is the muscle behind the madness and part of the madness. We love him! A member of the staging and moving team. What's more, he has knowledge and lots of contacts especially when we work with sports memorabilia and rock music and vinyl collections. He has been in this field for many years and has the experience, know how, and power to get things done. Very reliable. He's often seen before the sale for set up, appraisals, and overall help.
Linda is one of our primary consultants and an expert in textiles, fabrics, and linens among other items. Her great attitude and and appraisal expertise are a big help to us and our clients. On sale days she can also jump wherever we might need her, answering buyer's questions and working the room.
